Results of Dairy Herd Improvement (DHI) in Yunnan Province from 2011 to 2020

Abstract: This paper summarized and analyzed the data of Dairy Herd Improvement (DHI) in Yunnan Province from 2011 to 2020,and it was found that the DHI measurement has achieved remarkable results.From 2011 to 2020, milk yield,milk composition,somatic cells,calving interval and other indexes of reference cows were significantly improved.Compared with 2011,in 2020,the average daily milk yield,milk fat percentage,milk protein percentage and total solids of dairy cows increased by 86.67%,0.63 percentage points,0.12 percentage points,0.23 percentage points, somatic cell number decreased by 68.91% and calving interval decreased by 50.58 days.
