Isolation,Identification and Drug Sensitivity Test of Staphylococcus aureus from Large-scale Pasture in Ningxia

Abstract: Mastitis is one of the most common diseases in dairy cows,and Staphylococcus aureus is one of the important bacteria which can cause mastitis.To investigate the prevalence and drug resistance characteristics of Staphylococcus aureus in dairy cows in large-scale pastures in Ningxia. In this study,the pathogenic microorganisms in 856 milk samples from 6 large-scale ranches in Ningxia were isolated, identified and analyzed for drug resistance through epidemiological investigation,routine microbiology and PCR identification methods. The results showed that in 856 milk samples,a total of 467 strains of Staphylococcus aureus were obtained with a positive rate of 55%;the drug susceptibility results showed that the isolates were highly sensitive to cefotaxime,amikacin,amoxicillin,gentamicin,Vancomycin,ciprofloxacin and streptomycin.
