The Current Situation, Problems and Countermeasures of Dairy Farming in Gansu Province

Abstract: After years of development,the dairy farming industry in Gansu Province has significantly improved its stock and milk production,forming a relatively complete industrial chain of forage planting,dairy farming, dairy product processing and sales. It has become an important means of rural revitalization and industrial poverty alleviation,fully driving the employment of rural households in the surrounding areas. However,the dairy cattle breeding industry in Gansu Province is also facing problems such as increasing feed costs,incomplete breeding system for bulls,unscientific and standardized breeding of reserve cows,and low proportion of high-yield cows.Therefore,this paper proposed a series of countermeasures and suggestions,aiming to provide reference suggestions for the healthy breeding and scientific development of dairy cows.
