Abstract

Dairy goat farming is a farming industry proJect with small investment, low equipment and technical requirements, fast capital turnover and relatively stable income.It is very suitable for rural development. Dairy goat mainly produce milk, besides, both milk and meat of dairy goats can be edible. Dairy goat can provide rich nutrition, palatability good fresh milk and fresh mutton.So the market demand is large.The market price of live goat is relatively stable. In small and medium-sized cities, the price of mutton is maintained at about 80 yuan /kg all year round, and the market price of fresh goat milk is about 14 yuan /kg. Goats are robust, lively and active, with wide adaptability and strong survival ability. They love to be clean and dry, and are adapted to both grazing and captive breeding.Goats have good physique, relatively solid skin, strong disease resistance, low requirements for feeding and management.So they are more suitable for farming. This paper discusses the advantages of dairy goat farming over dairy cow, sheep, pig, beef cattle and poultry farming.
