Ketosis is a common disease in the dairy industry,which not only reduces milk production and lowers milk quality but also leads to postpartum diseases,causing significant losses. Ketosis in dairy cow is primarily associated with factors such as inadequate feed energy,abnormal fat metabolism,excessive exercise or stress,diseases or pressure,and improper management. Failure to prevent or treat this disease in a timely manner can result in severe economic losses to the dairy industry. This paper provided an overview of ketosis in dairy cow,focusing on the factors causing ketosis the relationship between ketosis and postpartum diseases,and measures for prevention and treatment,aiming to provide guidance for healthy breeding practices in China's dairy industry.
