Abstract

The dairy industry is a representative sector of China's food safety. The revitalization of dairy industry is the core power of rural modernization and the healthy support of rural development.in order to further promote the development of the dairy industry, this paper analyzed the number of dairy cows, yield per cow,and milk production in China from 2012 to 2021. It also examined the prices of corn and soybean meal in each month of 2022,the carbon emissions of the entire dairy industry chain from 2010 to 2020, and the national per capita milk consumption from 2012 to 2021. The analysis reveals that the dairy industry faces challenges such as high feed costs, pressure to reduce carbon emissions, and insufficient consumer confidence. In response to these challenges, the paper proposed recommendations such as optimizing feed supply, improving nutrient balance, implementing scientific feeding practices, cultivating and creating market demand, and developing markets in third- and fourth-tier cities and rural areas.
