Since the 1930s, the importance of science popularization work in China has become increasingly prominent. Especially since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the emphasis on science and technology popularization work has been continuously increasing in China. The science popularization work in the dairy industry began to develop in the 1990s,and after rapid development more than ten years,a good science popularization atmosphere has been formed with the participation of multiple entities such as enterprises, associations,media,research institutions and government departments,and covering the entire dairy industry chain. However,the development of dairy science popularization has gone through a long process,this paper examined the development of science popularization in China and the development of the dairy industry,and summarized the development stages and characteristics of each stage of dairy science popularization in China,providing reference for the next development of dairy science popularization.
