The effect of the transition from conventional milking system to milking robots varies from dairy farm to dairy farm,mainly due to the differences in the start-up process and the preparedness for milking robots on dairy farms, amongst many other reasons.This paper described and summarized the important factors affecting the start-up of milking robots in dairy farms from different perspectives such as hardware,different labor,and management for the enablement of milking robots.
