Comparison of Infant Formula Food Standards between China, EU

Abstract: In February 2021,China promulgated a series of new version standards for infant formulae and follow-on formulae,and it has been officially implemented since February 22,2023.The EU standard is the main reference standard for countries to formulate their own standard.The differences between new National Food Safety Standards 2021 and EU standard were compared,and the possible causes of these differences were analysized. Through comparative analysis,we can more intuitively understand the differences between the new national standard and EU standard,and understand the purpose and significance of the revision of the new national standard, and to provide a reference basis for the subsequent research and the continuous revision of the standards.
