Research Progress on the Application of Rumen-protected Amino Acids in Dairy Cows

Abstract: The essence of protein nutrition is amino acid nutrition. Numerous studies confirm that amino acids improve production performance,enhance body health,and maintain high production efficiency in dairy cows. However,due to the unique digestive structure of ruminants,amino acids often require rumen-protected technology to increase intestinal absorption. Under the current downturn in the dairy industry, scientific utilization of rumen-protected products is essential to reduce costs and improve efficiency,thereby promoting dairy industry development. This paper reviewed the characteristics of rumen-protected amino acids,their research progress in dairy cows,and summarized its applications,providing a theoretical basis and technical guidance for their rational use.
