Microbiological Detection of Folic Acid Content in Infant Formula for Special Medical Purposes

Abstract: [Objective]To analyze and explore the application of microbiological methods in the determination of folic acid in infant formula for special medical purposes.[Method]The content and recovery of folic acid in five kinds of infant formula with different substrates for special medical purposes were detected by microbiological method,and the precision and accuracy of the results were analyzed.[Result]The detection stability of folic acid in infant formula for special medical purposes with five different matrices is good.The recovery rate of standard addition is between 90.0%~108.8%.The relative standard deviation is 1.05%~2.40%.[Conclusion]Microbiological methods for detecting folic acid content in infant formula for special medical purposes have high sensitivity and accuracy. Under the premise of meeting the national standard,the rationality of the standard is verified,which provides a scientific reference for the determination of folic acid content in infant formula for special medical purposes in China.
