Abstract: In recent 10 years, the decreasing incidence and prevalence of infectious agent clinical mastitis in dairy cow,the optimization of breast health management practices, and advances in diagnostic techniques have made selective therapies possible. In order to scientifically promote the application of selective therapy for clinical mastitis, the objectives and principles of this study, prerequisites for its implementation and related issues were expounded and discussed in this study, which could provide reference for the prevention and control of dairy cow mastitis in China.
