Comprehensive Prevention and Control of Hoof Warts in Dairy Cows

Abstract: Hoof warts is one of commom hoof disease in dairy cows,which is distributed around the world and contagious. Once a cow is infected,the disease is rapidly transmitted among cows.The suffered cows were often forced to be early eliminated and it caused pain,lameness,decreased yield and quality of milk,paralysis,even huge economic losses to dairy farming. In this paper,the harm,etiology,clinical symptoms,clinical diagnosis and comprehensive prevention and control measures of hoof warts were analyzed,especially in the process of prevention and control of hoof warts,using hoof bath machine for hoof bath can improve the standardized operation process of cow hoof bath,improve the efficiency of hoof bath,reduce cross-infection of hoof warts and prevent and control hoof warts more effectively.
