Study on the Loss Rates of Vitamins in Infant Formula Milk Powder During the Shelf Life

Abstract: This study focused on the loss rates of vitamins of infant formula milk powder during the shelf life. The results showed that the loss rates of fat-soluble vitamins——vitamin A,vitamin E,vitamin K1 were high and more than 20%. In addition,the loss rate of folic acid in infant formula milk powder was significantly higher than that the larger infant formula and young children formula milk powder;vitamin B1,vitamin B2,vitamin B6,niacin,pantothenic acid,vitamin C and biotin were relatively stable in shelf life.Nitrogen-filled cans and nitrogen-filled box products were similar in the loss rates of vitamins.
