Causes and Control Measures of Limbs and Hooves Disease in Dairy Cows

Abstract: As an important supporting organ of daily activities,the limbs and hooves of dairy cows are prone to deformation,claudication and hooves cracking. Combined with my own work experience,this paper analyzed the causes of cow hooves and limbs disease from the factors of season nutrition,production and management,present the clinical symptoms of common cow hooves and limbs disease,hoof leaf inflammation and localized hoof dermatitis in the farm,analyzed the local and systemic treatment schemes of cow hooves and limbs disease,This paper put forward four measures to prevent hooves and limb disease, such as scientific site selection and construction, formulation of foot care and health care system, reasonable nutrition and regular drug bath, for peer exchange and reference.
