The Preliminary Conditions and Production Value of Sorting Gate Technology in Large Dairy Farms

Abstract: This paper discussed the application and value of sorting gate technology in large-scale dairy farms. With the development of modern dairy farming in China towards large-scale, facility-based, standardized, and informatized directions, traditional cow management methods can no longer meet the needs of modern farms. Sorting gate technology, through automated cow identification and sorting, improved work efficiency, enhanced dairy cow welfare, and provided data support and decision-making tools for farm management. This paper analyzed the positive impact of sorting gate technology on frontline workers, management, and dairy cows themselves, and discussed the prerequisites for the successful application of sorting gate technology. Finally, the paper summarized the revolutionary change of sorting gate technology in modern farm management methods and look forward to its potential in future farm management.
