Application and Critical Point Control of Selective Dry Milk Period Treatment in Farms

Abstract: Mastitis in dairy cows is one of the most serious diseases causing economic losses on farms,and the dry milk period is a critical period for the treatment of mastitis in dairy cows. The feeding management and health status of dairy cows during the dry milk period will directly affect the milk quality and yield of the next lactation period and the economic benefits of the farm.This paper synthesized the application of selective dry milk treatment in dairy farms in Europe,the United States and other developed countries and regions of the global dairy industry,and analyzed the management factors affecting the selective dry milk treatment,and analyzed the operational points of management in different phases of the pre-drying,drying and post-drying periods,with a view to providing reference for guiding the actual production of dairy farms.
