Prevention and Control of Mastitis in Dry Dairy Cows

Abstract: Mastitis is one of the diseases that affect the health of dairy cows,milk yield and quality,and cause the most serious economic losses in pastures,and the dry milk period of about 2 months is the most critical period for the prevention and treatment of mastitis in dairy cows. Starting with the changes of breast in dry period,this paper analyzed the causes of high incidence of mastitis in dry period,and put forward the whole group and selective dry milk treatment,nipple end protection methods,nutrition and hygiene feeding and management methods. It is expected to provide scientific reference for preventing and controlling dairy cow mastitis,improving herd production performance and pasture economic benefits.
