Analysis of Influence of Different Milking Times on Milk Yield of Dairy Cows

Abstract: [Objective]To analyze the improvement of milk yield of lactating cows at different stages by increasing milking times,and find out the best milking management scheme,so as to provide theoretical basis for effectively improving pasture benefits.[Method]The lactating cows were randomly divided into two groups to ensure that the average milk yield at different parity and calving stage was the same. After grouping,the two groups were milked three times and four times for one month,respectively. The milk yield of cows with different milking times in pasture was summarized and analyzed statistically.[Result]Increasing milking times could effectively improve milk yield of cows (P<0.05). The increase of milking times of dairy cows with milk yield higher than 45 kg was significantly higher than that of cows with milk yield lower than 45 kg (P<0.05).Increased milking times significantly increased the yield of first-born cows by 2.33 kg, second-born cows by 2.31 kg,and third-born cows by 2.78 kg (P<0.05). In different lactation stages,increasing milking times could effectively increase milk yield in early lactation and peak milk production (P<0.05).[Conclusion]Increasing milking times can effectively improve milk yield of cows,and the improvement effect is the best for cows with high yield and at the early and peak milk production.
