The Main Reasons and Prevention and Control Measures of Calf Diarrhea

Abstract: Calf diarrhea is a complications syndrome in neonatal calf,which is the the difficult problem currently facing in the cattle breeding and has severely restricted the development of cattle industry. The reason causing calf diarrhea could be divided into non-infectious and infectious factors. The non-infectious factors are mainly related to the resistance of the calves, feeding management, nutritional factors and so on. The infectious factors mainly include the bacterial,viral and parasitic infections. This review mainly analyzed and summarized the non-infectiou and infection factors, and currently control measures of calf diarrhea,which will provide the references for prevention and treatment of calf diarrhea in rangelands.
