Key Points of Cow Reproduction Management in Large-scale Dairy Farms

Abstract: The economic benefits of dairy farm are affected by many factors.Reproductive efficiency is one of the key factors affecting the profits of dairy farms.To improve the economic benefits of dairy farm,the managers must look for the opportunity to improve production performance.This paper summarized the work points from eight aspects including the selection breeding of replacement heifers,dry cow management,postpartum care,reproductive disease treatment,optimize the breeding work,linear identification and selection breeding of adult lactating cows,cow comfort management,and staff performance appraisal to provide reference for improving the breeding efficiency and breeding benefit of large-scale dairy farm.
