Rsearch on the Method to Increase the Daily Gain of Calves

Abstract: The growing condition of calves has an important influence on the production performance.To improve pasture efficiency,the farms pursue the maximum growth of calves.It is important to achieve a daily gain of 1.0 kg before weaning by feeding milk rehydration powder.This paper mainly introduces the positive effects of increasing the daily gain of calves on the performance of cows,and puts forward suggestions on the selection of milk replacer and feeding process according to Schils'trial in The Netherlands,in order to provide reference for the rational use of milk replacer in pastures and maximize the growth of calves.
