Investigation and Analysis of the Utilization of Manure Resources in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region

Abstract: The resource utilization of livestock manure is the focus and difficulty of rural ecological environmental protection. It is great significance for improving the ecological environment quality, raising the agricultural green development level,and promoting the agricultural products quality. This current study is aim to further understand the situation of resource utilization of livestock manure in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region("Ningxia"). The basic situation of the animal husbandry,the current status and problems of the utilization of manure resources in different feeding types and scales of livestock in five cities(Yinchuan,Shizuishan,Wuzhong,Zhongwei,Guyuan),the main promoting technologies and typical cases of different types and scales of breeding were also investigated. The results showed that,the total number of livestock in Ningxia is 20.46 million heads in 2020,including 574 000 dairy cows,1.207 million beef cattle,5.961 million sheep,900 000 pigs,and 11.818 million poultry. The amount of livestock manure generated was 30.253 million tons. The total utilization of manure in the entire region was 29.616 million tons. The comprehensive utilization rate reached 97.9%. The supporting rate of large-scale breeding facilities reached 99.0%. The main ways of utilization are fertilizer utilization,energy utilization,and clean regeneration.
