Comprehensive Prevention and Control Measures of Bovine Nodular Dermatosis

Abstract: Bovine Nodular Dermatosis is a viral infectious disease of cattle caused by Bovine Nodular Dermatosis Virus. Clinically,it is characterized by persistent high fever and a large number of pimple like nodules on the skin. The disease was first introduced into Yili Prefecture,Xinjiang,China in August 2019. It is a notifiable disease required by the World Organization for Animal Health(OIE). On February 10, 2022,the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China issued an announcement to adjust it from class I animal infectious diseases to class II animal infectious diseases. This paper introducesd the comprehensive prevention and control measures of Bovine Nodular Dermatosis,including action restriction, vector control and vaccination, in order to slow down the transmission, reduce losses and control the local transmission and epidemic of the disease.
