Isolation and Identification of Common Pathogenic Bacteria in Donkey Milk

Abstract: [Objective]Investigate the incidence rate of recessive mastitis of lactating donkeys in the milk donkey farms around Urumqi, and isolate and identify common pathogens and test drug sensitivity to provide technical support for clinical medication.[Method]In this study,milk samples were collected from 40 outwardly healthy lactating donkeys in Midong District of Urumqi,Xinjiang and 24 physically healthy lactating donkeys in Toutunhe District of Urumqi,Xinjiang.[Result]The prevalence rate of donkey farms in Midong District was 15.00%,and 16.67% in Toutunhe District.2 strains of S.dysgalactiae,4 strains of Escherichia coli,1 strain of S.agalactiae,1 strain of Staphylococcus and 2 strains of Enterobacter were isolated and identified from the positive samples. The drug sensitivity test showed that Midong donkey farm was more sensitive to amoxicillin and Toutunhe donkey farm was more sensitive to chloramphenicol.[Conclusion]The incidence of subclinical mastitis was high in the two donkey farms. The common pathogenic bacteria were Escherichia coli and Streptococcus. The difference between the two donkey farms suggested that we should use antibiotics more scientifically.
