Hebei Province's Seven-year Process of Raw Milk Quality Enhancement

Abstract: In recent years, the dairy industry in Hebei Province has made significant progress. The breeding bases have been rapidly upgraded, and the scale of localized rough feed production has expanded annually. The breeding system continues to be improved, while the processing capacity of dairy products steadily strengthens. Furthermore, the quality and brand influence of dairy products have continued to rise. From 2017 to 2023, Hebei Province experienced compound annual growth rates of 7.35% for the number of dairy cows and 8.25% for raw milk production—both far exceeding national averages. Quality safety is crucial for the development of the dairy industry. In 2017, Hebei Province established an information management platform and constructed a provincial database on raw milk quality safety. By the end of 2023, a total of 1.452 million batches of raw milk testing data had been collected. This paper analyzed these datasets to reveal the process of raw milk quality enhancement in Hebei Province over the past seven years.
