The Role and Influencing Factors of Rumen Protected Methionine in Nutritional Regulation of Lactating Cows

Abstract: The health and performanceof lactating cows are crucial for the sustainable development of the livestockindustry. Rumen protected methionine(RPM),as an important nutritional supplement,has been widely used in lactating cows.RPM can significantly improve the performance,health status,feed efficiencyand reproductive performanceof lactating cows. However,its effectiveness is influenced by various factors such as feed formulation,feeding management,environmental conditionsand individual differences.This paper reviewed the role and influencing factors of RPM in nutrient regulation of lactating cows to provide theoretical basis and technical references forits research and application.
