Abstract: [Objective] To explore the bacteriostatic effect and clinical efficacy of Chinese herbal compound infusion on pathogenic bacteria of dairy cow mastitis in vitro. [Method] The minimum bacteriostatic concentration of Chinese medicine compound infusion was investigated by bacteriostatic experiment in vitro. In vivo treatment,120 cows with mastitis were divided into 4 groups with 10 cows per group and 4 replicates per group, which were control group, low dose group, medium dose group and high dose group. The control group was fed only the basal diet, and the low dose group, the medium dose group and the high dose group were fed the basal diet with 10 mL, 20 mL and 30 mL of Chinese herbal compound infusion. the number of somatic cells (SCC) in milk, temperature, feed intake and milk yield were detected 21 days later. [Result] Chinese herbal compound infusion was moderately sensitive to Streptococcus aureus,Streptococcus and Escherichia coli, and could significantly reduce the reproductive activity of key pathogenic bacteria of mastitis(P> 0.05). The Chinese herbal compound infusion could significantly reduce the SCC in milk of dairy cows at 7,14 and 21 days, and reduce the symptoms of udder inflammation in dairy cows during clinical treatment(P> 0.05). Compared with the control group, low dose group, medium dose group and high dose group could significantly reduce the body temperature of cows with mastitis(P> 0.05). Low dose group, medium dose group and high dose group could significantly increase the feed intake of cows with mastitis(P> 0.05). Low dose group, medium dose group and high dose group could significantly increase milk yield of cows with mastitis(P> 0.05). [Conclusion] Chinese herbal compound infusion could significantly inhibit the reproduction of Streptococcus aureus,Streptococcus and Escherichia coli, reduce the SCC in milk of cows with mastitis, lower body temperature, and increase feed intake and milk production. It can not only treat mastitis, but also improve the health level of cows.
