The Quality and Quantity Issues of Alfalfa Products Development

Abstract: Under the guidance and support of the national project of“Alfalfa Development Action for Dairy Industry”, alfalfa industry has developed greatly, which has played an important role in ensuring fodder supply for dairy cows.But the quantity can not fully meet the demand of Dairy farming, and the quality is also unstable from the alfalfa products. Facing the challenge of international import market and the demand for high quality development, five suggestions are put forward. It includes the guidance of state subsidy funds, industrial cluster cultivation, setting up the idea of grassland as agricultural reserve farmland, the layout of alfalfa planting space and the improvement of quality standard.
