Feeding and Management Technology of High-yielding Dairy Cows

Abstract: High-yield cows were defined as cows with milk yield of more than 9 000 kg in one lactation period,and their basal metabolic indexes such as heart rate and respiration,feed intake, water intake,fecal and urine excretion were higher than those of medium-low lactating cows. Because of this difference,farms need to focus on feeding management practices for high-yielding cows to ensure higher milk yield. This article from cows feed intake,metabolism,lactation and body condition on the physiological characteristics of high producing dairy cows,respectively from the diet structure,water demand,feeding way,prevention of rumen acidosis,dry milk period care and clean the barn temperature control,milk cow body cleaning,operation,immunization and timely breeding of high producing dairy cows were introduced from the aspects such as raising management technology,in order to provide reference for scientific feeding and management of high-yield dairy cows.
