Abstract: Since 2000,the production of liquid milk has developed rapidly,and after rapid growth,the production has entered a slow growth stage,currently in a period of stagnation. Due to the upgrading of residents'consumption structure and the price gap between domestic and foreign dairy products,the import of liquid milk has significantly increased,reaching 1.2959 million tons in 2021,and the concentration of trade source countries is relatively high. The growth rate of sales prices in the liquid milk market has slowed down,and the profit margin has increased.Liquid milk is the main source of profit for dairy companies. The consumption level of liquid milk among Chinese residents has been in line with that of developed regions in Asia,and the consumption volume is stabilizing. The current Chinese liquid milk market still faces many challenges. To promote the sustainable and healthy development of liquid milk,it is recommended to strengthen technological innovation and seek new directions for dairy product differentiation,emphasize green development and expanding specialty dairy products,utilize the international market to reduce the production cost of dairy products.
