Abstract: [Objective] In-depth understanding of the current status of hoof diseases in the dairy industry, comprehensive analysis of the causes, clinical symptoms, diagnostic methods and prevention and control measures for the prevention and management of hoof diseases in dairy cows. [Method] The clinical symptoms and diagnostic methods of dairy cows hoof diseases in different scale farms were observed, and the influence of environmental, feed and genetic factors were studied, and comprehensive prevention and control measures were proposed. [Result] The causes of hoof diseases in dairy cows are related to environmental, feed and genetic factors. Common symptoms include hoof space inflammation and abnormal gait. Diagnostic methods include clinical examination, imaging diagnostic techniques and laboratory detection methods. It is recommended to improve the feeding and management level of dairy farms, combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine for symptomatic treatment and strengthening genetic improvement technology. [Conclusion] The pathogenesis of dairy cow hoof diseases is complex, rooted in the interplay of multiple factors. This study recommended further enhancing the level of dairy cow breeding and feeding management, promoting an integrated treatment strategy combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine, and strengthening the research, development, and application of genetic improvement technologies. These measures aim to reduce the incidence of hoof diseases and safeguard the health of dairy cows.
