Abstract: Bovine mastitisis a common disease of postpartum lactation cows. It mainly refers to various lesions of the mammary tissue of cows, including clinical mastitis and subclinical mastitis.Various evidences show that mastitis is one of the important factors affecting the reproductive performance of cows. The research shows that the occurrence of mastitis before mating and(or) during pregnancy can increase the calving interval of cows, and it will also lead to the increase of miscarriage rate and elimination rate of cows in severe cases, which will seriously affect the economic benefits of pastures. In this paper, the clinical manifestations of dairy cow mastitis and its effect on the reproductive performance were described, and the possible mechanism of mastitis affecting the reproductive performance of dairy cows was explained,so as to provide references for the prevention of mastitis and the improvement of the health and reproductive performance of dairy cows in China.
