The Diagnosis and Treatment of Neospora caninum-induced Abortion in Cows

Abstract: Neosporosis is a globally prevalent protozoal disease affecting various animals,caused by Neospora caninum,leading to significant economic losses in the livestock industry and posing potential threats to human health. Given the limited awareness or lack of understanding of the harmful effects of Neospora caninum infection in most domestic dairy farms in the country,this paper,using a case from a large-scale dairy farm,provided a brief overview of the clinical symptoms,diagnosis,and preventive measures of bovine and canine neosporosis. It served as a reference for the diagnosis and treatment of Neospora caninum-induced abortion in cows and dogs.
