Prevention and Control of Common Postpartum Reproductive Diseases in Dairy Cows

Abstract: With the development of dairy industry,the pasture takes the road of scale and intensification,and pursues high yield. At the same time,everyone pays attention to whether it can be bred and conceived as soon as possible after delivery,thus shortening the calving interval and reducing the feeding cost. Nursing care of newborn cows is a physiological process in which the postpartum uterus of dairy cows returns to the shape and function before pregnancy. The process of postpartum uterine health care and the state of uterine recovery determine the pregnancy rate of the first estrus after delivery,that is,the first mating pregnancy rate. If the uterus of dairy cows is incomplete after delivery,it will cause multiple reproductive diseases,which will seriously affect the first-mating pregnancy rate of dairy cows. Postpartum estrus mating without pregnancy will delay the conception time and increase the calving interval,which means that the number of days of empty feeding will increase and the economic benefits of pasture will decrease. Therefore,pasture should always pay attention to postpartum uterine care and the prevention and control of common reproductive diseases.
