Abstract: Dairy cow limb and hoof diseases have become one of the diseases that seriously affect the economic benefits of dairy farms in modern dairy cow breeding. The occurrence of limb and hoof diseases significantly affects the movement and feeding ability of dairy cows, affects milk production and reproductive performance, and even leads to premature elimination in severe cases. This study introduces and analyzes the current situation and causes of dairy cow limb and hoof diseases, pointing out that the causes of dairy cow limb and hoof diseases include genetic factors, dietary nutritional factors, site factors, management factors, and pathogenic factors. Based on this, measures to prevent and control the disease are summarized. In terms of treatment, external hoof medication and closed therapy can be adopted; in terms of prevention, the diet structure of dairy cows should be adjusted, hoof baths should be conducted regularly, hoof health care should be strengthened, daily management work should be strengthened, and excellent varieties should be cultivated.
