Product information such as "food name,ingredients,nutritional content,production date,shelf life,producer,and barcode" indicated on labels of prepackaged food is not only an effective method to protect consumer rights and interests,but also an important way for consumers to purchase food and know more information. In recent years,food companies have been investigated by professional anti-counterfeiting complaints/claims and functional departments due to product labeling issues,disrupting sound development of food industry. Targeted in-depth research and corresponding solutions were carried out in this paper to clarify the key elements of labels of prepackaged food,discuss the true attributes of products, simplify the source of ingredient compliance,standardize the compliance of nutrition claims and propose solutions to confusion of excipient labeling.
