The Analysis of Amino Acid Content and Composition of Xinjiang Camel Milk Powder

Abstract: The study tested camel whole milk powder samples from three camel milk manufacturing companies in different regions in Xinjiang. The average total protein and amino acid (TAA) content of camel milk powder was found to be 24.25g/100g, of which essential amino acids (EAA) accounted for 44.58 %, non-essential amino acids (NEAA) accounted for 55.42%. The TAA, EAA content, EAA/TAA and EAA/NEAA ratios of camel milk powder are higher than cow milk powder;camel milk power has relatively high nutritional value.
