Abstract: Dairy goat farming is one of the most extensive farming projects in the countryside. The present breed of dairy goats in China is mainly the offspring of saanen dairy goats and local goats. Goats selection should be carried out flexibly according to local breed resources, regional advantages and price. We breed rams, ewe and lambs according to our breeding needs..When we breed ewes,we should choose the right individual,with the wedge-shaped shape of the obvious dairy animal,well developed, strong,healthy and disease-free,symmetrical in appearance,with large udder volume, good appearance and high milk yield. When we breed male goats,we should choose the good individual with good variety,strong constitution,good development,sensitive reaction,energetic,vigorous appetite,healthy and disease-free,and obvious male characteristics. We should strengthen the breeding management of dairy goats,pay attention to the estrus performance of ewes,make estrus identification,and timely breeding.Pay attention to the management of pregnancy,delivery and nursing of ewe.
