Present Situation of Dairy Cow Manure Management and Resource Utilization Technology in Beijing

Abstract: Fecal pollution management is the key link of dairy farming and plays an important role in the sustainable development of dairy industry. Beijing is a densely populated international metropolis. The contradiction between the supply and demand of dairy products and the land consumption of breeding and pollution discharge is prominent,which is typical and exemplary in the process of agricultural development in large cities. Taking Beijing as an example,this paper summarizes the current technologies and methods of dairy cow manure management. Combined with the frontier research in the laboratory,this paper introduces the high-value transformation technologies such as microalgae treatment and hydrothermal transformation of cow manure,in order to provide reference for the management of manure and the sustainable development of aquaculture in large cities.
