Repellent Effect of Different Drugs on Alimentary Tract Nematodes of Dairy Goats

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to observe the effect of different anthelmintic drugs on gastrointestinal nematodes in dairy goats,and to screen better anthelmintic drugs for the prevention and control of parasitic diseases in the future. 96 dairy goats were selected and divided into 3 groups with 32 goats in each group. Ivermectin Injection,fenbendazole powder and ivermectin fenbendazole premix were fed respectively. The infection of nematodes before and after anthelmintic treatment was detected by saturated saline floating method and McMaster method. The results showed that the negative conversion rate of insect eggs in Ivermectin Injection group was 6.25%,the egg negative rate of ivermectin fenbendazole premix group was 31.25%,the negative conversion rate of insect eggs in fenbendazole powder group was 50.00%. There was significant difference in infection intensity between Ivermectin Injection group(P<0.05), fenbendazole powder group (P<0.01) and ivermectin fenbendazole premix group (P<0.01). Therefore,it is suggested that ivermectin fenbendazole premix should be used as the preferred anthelmintic drug for gastrointestinal nematodes in dairy goats.
