Research on the Practical Dilemma and Countermeasures of Food Recall System in China--A Case Study of the Dairy Industry

Abstract: Dairy products have become an indispensable part of citizens' lives. On the one hand,the safety of dairy products is related to the vital interests of the people,on the other hand,it is of great significance to maintain social stability. The necessity of the dairy products recall system is particularly prominent as an important defense line in the field of dairy product safety. The recall system of dairy products in China has some problems such as narrow scope of recall subjects,lack of follow-up supervision and imperfect publicity of recall information. Drawing on the successful experience of foreign food recall,the dairy product recall system is further improved by including consumers and third-party platforms into the main scope of dairy products,unifying recall standards,constructing dairy product recall supervision rules,and establishing a special dairy product recall information publicity platform,so as to better play the effect of the dairy product recall system and promote the development of food safety in China.
