Summary of Key Points for the Prevention and Control of Endometritis in Dairy Cows in Hot and Humid Area--Taking Guiyang City as an Example

Abstract: Endometritis in dairy cows is a disease that seriously affects their reproductive performance and causes significant economic losses to the dairy farming industry. As an important dairy cattle breeding base in Guizhou Province, the subtropical humid climate in Guiyang makes the cowshed easy to be in a high-humidity environment. In addition, there are some problems such as extensive feeding management and non-standard midwifery operation in some small and medium-sized pastures, leading to a high incidence of endometritis and an annual increase in the drug resistance of pathogenic bacteria, which poses challenges to clinical treatment. Based on the actual situation of dairy cattle breeding in Guiyang City, this paper analyzed the causes and diagnostic points of cow endometritis, and constructed a comprehensive prevention and control system of prevention first, hierarchical diagnosis and treatment, and dynamic monitoring combined with the characteristics of the regional hot and humid climate. It has important practical significance for reducing the incidence rate, improving the health level of dairy cattle, and promoting the quality and efficiency of the regional dairy industry.
