Comparison of Rapid Methods for the Detection of Aflatoxin M1 in Raw Milk

Abstract: [Objective] To analyze the reproducibility, recovery, precision of ELISA(enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) for the determination of aflatoxin M1 residues in raw milk,as well as the echo between colloidal gold immunochromatography and its results,and the feasibility of the combined use of the two methods. [Method]Aflatoxin M1 in raw milk samples was detected with colloidal gold rapid test strips,and aflatoxin M1 ELISA kit(the lower limit of detection in fresh milk was 0.018 μg/kg) was used for control experiments.[Result]The colloidal gold strip method showed an echelon effect on the detection results of different concentrations of aflatoxin M1 residue in raw milk,and could echo the quantitative detection results of ELISA.The results of ELISA assay for the quantification of different concentrations of aflatoxin M1 residue in raw milk showed good reproducibility and high stability,and the recovery rate was between 94.83% and 100.53%,and the RSD ranging from 1.11% to 3.01%.[Conclusion]The determination of aflatoxin M1 in raw milk by two rapid detection methods was convenient and rapid,and the results were stable and accurate with high reliability.It can be used as a basic data reference for the daily rapid acceptance of raw milk in dairy enterprises.
