Investigation on Nonylphenol Pollution in Liquid Milk in a City in West Guangdong

Abstract: [Objective] To ascertain the nonylphenol contamination level in liquid milk and health risks so as to provide reference for perchlorate standard formulation and risk manage liquid milkment.[Method]Dairy products were randomly drew from markets,and the content of nonylphenol in dairy products was detected by ultra performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.[Result]A total of 100 food samples from 2 food categories were analyzed,including pasteurized milk and UHT sterilized milk nonylphenol detection rate was 80.00% with a mean value as 82.43 μg/kg.The highest mean value of nonylphenol was 87.06 μg/kg in pasteurized milk.The amount of nonylphenol intakes through the total diet were found to be at a relatively safe level.[Conclusion]This paper evaluated the risk of nonylphenol,combined with the testing results of 100 batches commercial instant liquid milk. The results had shown instant liquid milk of the market was generally safe and low risk to human health.
